Allergy Desensitising

Allergy Desensitisation

Allergy desensitisation is used to support the body when it appears to be reacting excessively or inappropriately to certain substances.

Rather than suppressing symptoms, the focus is on helping the body respond more calmly and appropriately over time.

How allergy desensitisation is approached

Sensitivity and reactivity are often influenced by more than just the substance involved. Stress load, nervous system regulation, and overall resilience all play a role.

This approach looks at:

  • how the body is reacting

  • what may be contributing to heightened sensitivity

  • whether desensitisation is appropriate at that time

Support is introduced gradually and reviewed based on response.

When allergy desensitisation may be helpful

This approach may be considered when:

  • reactions seem disproportionate or unpredictable

  • sensitivities persist despite avoidance

  • symptoms fluctuate without a clear pattern

It is not used as a first response in all cases, and not everyone is suited to desensitisation at every stage.

What this approach is — and isn’t

Allergy desensitisation:

  • aims to support tolerance and regulation

  • is non-invasive

  • is adjusted based on individual response

It is not:

  • a replacement for medical allergy testing

  • a guarantee that reactions will resolve

  • appropriate for all types of allergy

If medical assessment or referral is needed, this will always be recommended.

Integration with other support

Allergy desensitisation may be used:

  • on its own

  • alongside naturopathic care

  • in conjunction with nervous system support or bioresonance

The approach is always individual and responsive.
